This artwork is inspired by a handmade cross-stitch gift from my daughter to me in 1992, when she was a teenager. She dedicated the poem to me, and it was so meaningful that it stays with me.
I am creating the artwork with the poem to celebrate true friendship. I feel that friendships are sustained through openness and communication. We can show care for each other by texting. Make time to meet and enjoy the time spent together. Share about life. I make friends even on trains.
Today, in my age, I am actively engaged in my community of friends and volunteering work. It is important to make ourselves available.
